French Linguistics, LFRE 312
SyllabusWhat’s in a word? Or a syllable, or a phoneme? This course introduces linguistics from the smallest units of language, individual sounds, to the largest, phrases and sentences, what they mean and how they change based on who’s talking. We explore phonetics and phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and sociolinguistics.
