Mission Statement
The mission of the Department is to advance student learning and professional scholarship in foreign languages, literatures, and cultures. Such learning is one important component of a liberal education and enhances our students’ futures as responsible citizens, as educated workers, and/or as developing scholars. The creation and dissemination of new knowledge in respected national and international venues supports the missions of Colorado State University as a land grant institution and as a comprehensive graduate research University.
