Edward Sarasty

Edward Sarasty, MA, is an instructor specializing in Spanish for Specific Purposes in the Department of Languages and Global Studies at Colorado State University, where he also serves as a researcher and affiliate faculty member with the Center for Languages for Specific Purposes Education and Research (CLEaR). He holds master’s degrees in TEFL/TESL and Languages, Literatures, and Cultures, with an emphasis in Spanish, from Colorado State University. His work focuses on evidence-based curriculum development and instructional materials design for Languages for Specific Purposes. He has contributed to the development and enhancement of Spanish for Specific Purposes curricula at Colorado State University, particularly in professional contexts related to animal health and care. His research aims to strengthen language and cultural connections in professional contexts by developing innovative approaches to language education that support professionals in serving diverse communities. His scholarly interests include the integration of Task-Based Language Teaching within Languages for Specific Purposes, particularly through technology-enhanced instruction, task-based materials development, performance assessment, and experiential learning.
